Markus Bargouti
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bargouti is responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of Nopetro Energy. With a foundation of growing and scaling businesses, and deep expertise in M&A, capital markets, finance transformation, and technical accounting, he brings a strategic and execution-oriented approach to building scalable financial platforms that support organizational growth.
Prior to Nopetro, Markus served as CFO of Origis Energy, where he was the key finance lead during a $1 billion equity capital raise while overseeing all aspects of project finance, treasury, and financial operations. Before Origis, he served as CAO and Deputy CFO at SoftBank Group International, a $60B AUM platform comprising SoftBank's U.S. assets and the largest venture capital fund in Latin America. Earlier in his career, Markus was a Director in the Deal Advisory practice at KPMG, where he led M&A engagements including, but not limited to, carve-outs, public filing restatements, buy-side integrations, and new accounting implementations (ASC 606 / ASC 842) for Fortune 500 companies.
Markus earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
