Travis Payne
SVP, RNG Development
Travis Payne serves as the Senior Vice President of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Development at Nopetro Energy. With over two decades of experience in renewable energy and business development, Payne has held various leadership positions in the utility industry.
Before joining Nopetro Energy, Travis was the Director of Alternative Fuels – Business Development at TECO Peoples Gas. In this role, he spearheaded the expansion of natural gas development across Florida, focusing on renewable natural gas projects and contract negotiations. Prior to that, he worked as the Manager of Business Development in the Distributed Energy Resources Group at Duke Energy/Piedmont Natural Gas, successfully developing renewable natural gas and solar projects.
Travis holds an undergraduate degree in Financial Management from UNC Charlotte and an MBA from the University of Florida. He actively contributes to the sustainability market and serves on executive advisory boards for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering at East Carolina University, the Florida Renewable Natural Gas Association, and the Sustainability Leadership Council for the RNG Coalition.
Travis brings to Nopetro Energy his expertise in innovative project financing and development initiatives to the executive team. His role involves driving innovation, expanding market presence, and creating value for stakeholders. As part of the clean energy growth plan, Travis focuses on renewable energy initiatives in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region. He looks forward to building new relationships across both public and private sectors in this dynamic field.
