OUR STORY
In 2007, Nopetro was founded by two visionary friends, Jorge A. Herrera and Jonathan “Jack” Locke. Friends from high school, the two shared a deep passion for energy and were determined to find a solution to reduce petroleum consumption in heavy duty transportation.
Their unwavering belief that natural gas was the answer led them to embark on a journey that would change their lives and better the world. This vision to create a better future inspired them to develop natural gas infrastructure for heavy duty transportation and industry. They tirelessly promoted the use of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), catalyzing an exodus away from diesel and towards this cleaner fuel. Their story as it continues today, is a testament to the power of perseverance and determination. These two founders and their unwavering passion serves as a reminder that when we believe in something, and are willing to work hard for it, we can achieve the impossible.
