Nopetro is a leader in developing infrastructure with government agencies via strategic public-private partnerships (“P3”).

Public -Private Partnerships
P3s offer government agencies the ability to more quickly realize capital infrastructure projects without having to contribute capital and/or incur operational costs. LYNX CNG
FACILITY - ORLANDO
Nopetro’s P3 project with Central Florida’s LYNX transit system included fueling expansive state-of-the-art CNG infrastructure, maintenance facility build-outs, CNG bus fleet conversion and a revenue sharing.
The facility, located at the intersection of John Young Parkway and LYNX Lane, is part of a public-private partnership (P3) with the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX).

The six-acre facility, inclusive of five CNG dispensers, with the capacity to distribute 40 gallons per minute, comprises two stations within one location – a private station for LYNX, and a second facility open to the public at large.
Under the terms of the first of its kind P3, switching from diesel to CNG provided LYNX with immediate positive returns. With a growing bus fleet, LYNX now operates more than 150 clean CNG buses throughout the Central Florida region.
Nopetro is currently sourcing carbon-neutral Renewable Natural Gas produced from landfills as CNG feedstock.

CASE STUDIES
Leon County CNG
Facility Tallahassee
Switching to CNG makes sense both financially and environmentally for
Leon County Schools.
Joy Bowen, School board Chair.
The partnership between Leon County Schools and Nopetro was the first of its kind in Florida when it launched in 2012, and has proven beneficial for the school district and other local governments.

at Leon County Schools
The move saved the district more than $1.1 million. It also reduced related vehicle emissions by 90 percent while inspiring other local entities to expand their use of CNG fuel.
Nopetro serves as the school district’s exclusive provider of CNG. The two have worked together as the district’s exclusive CNG provider, with nearly half the district’s buses – 105 out of 220 – being powered by CNG. Other local institutions, including Leon County, the city of Tallahassee, and Florida State University also utilize the Nopetro fueling station for their CNG vehicles. Over the course of the ten years, the school district has saved more than $2.5 million through rebates and other programs, funds that can instead be used to enhance educational programs for Leon County students.
